Does Fotobounce support proxy servers?

Postby ray.ganong » Tue Jun 26, 2012 6:30 pm

Note - if your internet connection is via a proxy server then that may cause issues with Peer to Peer connections from other Fotobounce desktop systems.

Fotobounce remote connections are established through our own Proxy server. If you see a green light in the top right corner of the Fotobounce screen then you are "online". The outbound connection to the Proxy server is via SSL port 443. The FBEngine.exe program actually makes the connection.

Peer to peer connections from other Fotobounce desktop systems attempt to make a direct connection after the initial handshake via the proxy server. Fotobounce Viewer and Fotobounce Mobile connections are also made through our proxy server.

It is important that no firewall software or router security feature is blocking this connection.
